Screenshots
There's only one screenshot for now. But it's an important one. It is a picture of what you'll meet when you reboot after installing Lowarch, if everything went well. Yes, you're right, it's a console log in. Please don't let that scare you. It's not as dangerous as it looks. Read the documentation (Arch Linux's documentation for now).
Lowarch will not impose anything on your system. If you want to run X, you'll have to set it up yourself. It's not that much work, and you only have to do it once (for every install, that is). This is what is called "The Arch Way". Simplicity, no unnecessary complexity. You should be the master of your computer, not it over you. Of course to be a master implies having a little bit of knowledge, but not to be an expert in everything. The things you'll need to learn will make your Linux life much more enjoyable later on, whichever distribution you choose to use.
